| Antalya is the closest major bus station to Olympos. It takes approximately 1½ hours from Antalya to the Olympos main road bus station. Buses leave Antalya every half hour for the west (look for the destinations of Fethiye or Kas, these buses pass by the Olympos main road bus station).

How to get to Olympos along the Coastal Road from Fethiye and the West?
Buses depart Fethiye every hour towards Antalya. The closer you get to Olympos the more frequent the buses become. Check the times with the bus station in the town that you are in. You need to get off the bus at the Olympos Main Road Bus Station.
Buses to Fethiye
Buses depart the Olympos Main Road Bus Station on the main road every half hour.
This same bus can be taken to reach destinations such as: Demre, Kas, Kalkan, Patara.

Another alternative route to reach the Antique city is the sea route. The private yachts and daily tour boats departing from Antalya and Kemer to Kaş marinas and those departing from Kaş and Finike marinas towards Antalya and Kemer, have a traditional swimming break in the Olympos cove, which also affords them the opportunity to tour the antique city.

Those arriving to Olympos with private vehicles shouldn’t miss the opportunity to visit the ruins en route. If coming from the Antalya direction, they can take the turn off from the Phaselis signpost they will see after 60, and visit the antique city. If they leave in the morning, they can visit the antique city and then enjoy a delicious lunch of trout at Ulupınar or meat dishes a little further on from there, and then descend down to Olympos from the Olympos turn off. Those visitors coming via private vehicles from Fethiye the direction are specially recommended to leave early in the morning and to visit, Tlos, Patara, Xanthos, Letoon and Myra en route. they should make special effort to visit the Saint Nicholas Church (known as Father Christmas amongst the population) and the antique city of Myra. We can recommend people taking this route to spend a night in Finike, then to visit Arykanda and Limyra the next day. If the route is followed from the direction of Finike to Turunçova, and all the antique cities have been visited then you can descend down to the main road and continue in the direction of Antalya then after 30 kms from Kumluca you can take the Çıralı turn off and reach antique city of Olympos. |
